Before Your Tour

  • All tours begin in the heart of downtown within walking distance of rooftop bars in Asheville. Exact meeting details are provided by your guide on the morning of your tour.

  • Your guide will text or email your exact meeting location on the morning of your tour. Please make sure the phone number and email associated with your booking are correct and keep an eye on your messages before your tour.

  • Downtown Asheville offers:
    • Public parking garages
    • Paid surface lots
    • Metered street parking

    We strongly recommend arriving early, especially on weekends and during peak tourism seasons, as downtown parking can fill quickly.

  • Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled tour start time to allow time for parking, check-in, and meeting your guide.

  • Tours depart promptly at the scheduled start time and cannot wait for late arrivals. Due to reserved seating schedules at each rooftop venue, late arrivals may miss portions of the experience.

    If you are running late, please contact us immediately. Our guides will attempt to text you updated meeting information so you may be able to join the tour along the route, but missed rooftop stops or included drinks cannot be refunded.

  • No. Asheville Rooftop Bar Tours is a guided rooftop experience focused on atmosphere, mountain views, handcrafted drinks, and local storytelling. Our tours feature reserved seating, a relaxed pace, and curated rooftop venues selected for their views and hospitality.

  • Tours are relaxed walking experiences through downtown Asheville and include short walks between rooftop venues. None of our rooftop partners are more than 0.9 miles apart, and tours are thoughtfully routed so guests are never walking from one end of downtown to the other. Guests should be comfortable walking moderate downtown distances, including occasional hills, stairs, and uneven sidewalks.

    Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.

  • Most tours last approximately three hours, depending on group size, walking pace, weather, and rooftop timing.

  • Yes. Every guest receives one complimentary cocktail or mocktail at each rooftop stop for a total of three included drinks during the experience.

  • Absolutely. Most rooftop venues offer full food menus along with additional cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktails available for purchase.

  • Rooftop venues may rotate based on availability, private events, weather conditions, and seasonal operations. Every tour is thoughtfully curated to provide an exceptional rooftop experience with beautiful views, atmosphere, and hospitality.

  • Absolutely. Many locals take the tour to experience the city from a new perspective, discover rooftop venues they may not have visited before, and learn fascinating stories about Asheville’s history and architecture

  • Gratuities for your guide are not included but are always appreciated if you enjoyed your experience. Cash or Venmo are both great options

  • Absolutely. Our rooftop stops offer some of the best mountain and skyline views in Asheville, and your guide is always happy to help capture memorable group photos along the way.

Weather & Accessibility

  • Tours operate rain or shine. All rooftop venues we visit offer covered outdoor seating areas as well as spacious indoor spaces with scenic mountain or city views, allowing guests to enjoy the experience comfortably in a variety of weather conditions.

    Because tours include walking through downtown Asheville between rooftop stops, guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for changing mountain weather conditions, including bringing a rain jacket or umbrella if showers are possible.

    In cases of severe or unsafe weather — including lightning, dangerous storms, or other conditions that could impact operations — tours may be delayed, modified, rescheduled, or canceled for guest safety.

  • Downtown Asheville includes hills and uneven sidewalks All rooftop are accessible by elevator.

    Guests with accessibility concerns are encouraged to contact us prior to booking so we can discuss accommodations and current rooftop accessibility options.

  • Some rooftop venues may include stairs in addition to elevator access. Downtown Asheville sidewalks and streets may also include inclines and uneven surfaces.

  • Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Guests should dress appropriately for changing mountain weather conditions and may wish to bring a light jacket during cooler months or a rain jacket if showers are possible.

    Layers are recommended during spring, fall, and winter months when mountain temperatures can cool quickly after sunset.

Policies & Booking

  • Yes! Asheville Rooftop Bar Tours now accepts same-day reservations on most public tours, subject to availability. Online booking is available up to 4 hours before tour departure. If you're looking to join a tour within 4 hours of start time, simply give us a call and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

    Whether you're planning a spontaneous date night, entertaining out-of-town guests, or looking for something fun to do this evening, we're happy to help you experience Asheville from above. 🍹🏔️

  • Guests in parties of 5 or more must cancel at least 72 hours before the scheduled tour start time to receive a refund. Guests in parties of 4 or fewer must cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled tour start time to receive a refund.

    No refunds will be issued once these cancellation windows have passed.

  • All guests must be 21 years of age or older and present a valid government-issued photo ID at all rooftop venues.

  • All guests are required to complete a liability waiver prior to participating in the tour. Waiver instructions will be provided before your experience.

  • Service animals are welcome in accordance with applicable laws. Due to the nature of the experience and rooftop venues, pets and emotional support animals are not permitted.

  • Private group tours are available for birthdays, corporate outings, wedding events, bachelorette parties, reunions, and other special occasions. Private tours can often be customized based on group size, timing, and food preferences. Please contact us directly for availability and pricing.

  • Yes. Asheville Rooftop Bar Tours gift cards are available online and make a great gift for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, weddings, and Asheville getaways.
