We’re seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and personable Rooftop Bar Tour Guide to lead guests through our signature guided experiences. If you enjoy sharing local history, engaging with groups, and representing a beloved locally owned business, we’d love to hear from you.
Position Overview
As a Rooftop Tour Guide, you’ll lead guests on 3–hour walking tours between rooftop bars in downtown Asheville. Your role includes sharing Asheville’s rich history, pointing out architectural and cultural highlights, assisting with guest photos, and ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for everyone on your tour.
Responsibilities
Lead guided rooftop tours with professionalism, enthusiasm, and excellent guest care
Share engaging stories about Asheville’s history, architecture, arts, and skyline
Coordinate timing, seating, and communication with rooftop bar partners
Provide basic wayfinding and recommendations for guests exploring the city
Take photos for guests and foster a warm, fun, and welcoming tour environment
Maintain punctuality, dependability, and strong communication with the team
Uphold the standards and values of Asheville Rooftop Bar Tours
Qualifications
Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking to groups
Strong communication skills and commitment to customer service
Interest in and knowledge about Asheville’s history, architecture, arts, food, and culture
Ability to walk and stand for the duration of a tour
Must be 21+
Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, education, customer service, or public speaking is a plus but not required
